Professional Videography

Automotive videography is an exciting art form.  My passion for photography is equal only to my passion for filmmaking. Each year I curate my videography portfolio digitally into a collection and share it online. I’m pleased to present that Video Portfolio here on my website.

The equipment needed to film cars is very specific and has taken me years to acquire the particular equipment needed.  I have a special handbuilt video rig is attached to a camera car.  This car requires a minimum of 2 people to operate. The driver and camera operator. The importance of the driver inside of the camera car is similar to a stunt driver who makes quick maneuvers.  A good driver gets in the optimum position for the camera operator to get the best shot possible. The camera operator sits inside with a high-end external recorder and a monitor making sure everybody is in focus, recording, and getting the video scene.  The camera is controlled by a gaming controller with a monitor.  The camera itself is a high-end mirrorless camera.   There is room available in the car for the art director and editors.  Having them in the camera car to oversee the process and give live feedback during the shoot is another invaluable asset. I work directly with both the client and or the editors to ensure that the vision is clear and the final product will look just how the client envisions it.

For static or stationary video scenes, I use drones, sliders, and gimbals.  A gimbal is a mechanical stabilizer that uses three axes of rotation to compensate for unintended camera motion.   Camera sliders, give you the ability to shoot compelling “tracking shots” that create a sense of movement as if the camera was a passerby briefly peering at the subjects on screen.  Drones, well drones are used to get birds-eye views of the subject being videoed.   All of these are tools I use to capture the smoothest footage possible and to reduce post-processing time.

All of the contracts for my commercial shoots include use, distribution, and airtime. I hope anyone viewing my portfolios and all of my other work on social media enjoys looking at these images.

Capturing on film, every car I grew up loving has been a dream come true. It has made me want to immortalize every image I have taken. Let’s get in touch and have a nice chat. You can hit the contact me tab on my website or you can find the links to my Instagram, Facebook and send me a message through direct message. Thank you for taking the time to read this message and seeing my best videography work. Have a great time viewing!
